Sietze “Sid” Beintema

Sietze “Sid” Beintema, age 78, of Grand Rapids, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Dave and Jodi Beintema, Sara and Eric Bonzheim; grandchildren, Isaac, Charlie, Emilie, and Annie; brother, Pieter Beintema; and many nieces and nephews. Sid was preceded in death by his parents, Pieter and Meintje Beintema and his brothers, John and Bill. Sid was known for his love of his family, sports, trivia, and especially his phone calls to all that he knew. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday from 10-11 am at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Whitecaps Community Foundation.
