Shirley Kosters

Shirley Jean Kosters, age 88, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, building memories at the lake, and winters in Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Leroy Kosters; daughter-in-law, Juanita Kosters; siblings, Bob Groothuis, Larry Groothuis, Pat Moon; brother-in-law, Mel Krul. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mark Kosters, Randall Kosters, Lori and Bruce Helmholdt; grandchildren, Dan and Stacey Kosters, Kristin and Ron Delulius, Evan and Gabrielle Kosters, Heather and Chad Hyma, Courtney and Mike Mulder, Derek Helmholdt; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Donna Krul, Judy and Dave Hopkins, Nancee and Brian Ritsema; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Zylstra, MaeRose Tiesinga, Joyce Kok, Pat Vander Veen, Nancy Groothuis, Jackie Groothuis; brother-in-law, Rich Moon; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Jeremy Rhodes officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
