Shelly Erdman

Shelly Erdman, age 59, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Alpena, gained her wings on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Shelly grew up in Alpena before she moved to Grand Rapids and graduated from Kelloggsville High School. She later attended ITT Tech and graduated with an Electronics Engineering Degree. Shelly was very passionate about the outdoors. She loved camping, kayaking, bird watching, and she was the conductor of every road trip she went on with family and friends. Her family and the time she spent with them were most important to Shelly though, whether it was a road trip or a family reunion. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Shirley Kindt, and her sister, Susan Brown. Shelly will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 32 years, Joe Erdman; children, Nichole (Billy) Kindt, Josh (April) Erdman; grandchildren: Shai, Emmett, Jayson, Madden, Paige, Walker, Hudson; great-grandchild, Taytum; brother, David (Debbie) Kindt; stepmother, Karen Kindt; brother-in-law, Gary Brown; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A private celebration will be held for the family at a later date.
