Shawn Malone

Shawn Michael Malone, age 62, of Grandville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather (“Papa”). A man of many skills, he was always willing to lend a hand to family, friends, and seniors in need. Known for his curious nature, he loved learning about the outdoors and understanding the inner workings of trucks and cars. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 27 years, Barbara Malone; children, Brandi and Doug O'Leary, Richard Miller and Shelby Lamrock;  grandchildren, Lacey, Rowdy, and Finneas; mother, Janice and Tom Kirkland; brothers, Pat and Jill Malone, Craig and Jeanne Malone; sister, Christin Malone English and Kevin Hyde, Julie O’Neill and Greg Stroh; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Renee O'Neil, Dawn Featherly, Pam and Scott Mondry, Sherri Fisher; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Malone. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Carol Hollebeek officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 1-2 p.m. prior to the start of the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
