Sharlynn K. VanPutten

Sharlynn K. VanPutten, age 84, of Byron Center, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Catherine VanEk; sisters, Mary Lou (Dale) DeGood, Barbara (Cecil) Harkema. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jon and Amy VanPutten, Karyn and Jeff Hoeksema, Sara and Dave DeMann; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Zach VanPutten, Taylor and Tyler Austin (Parker), Luke and Anna VanPutten, Chad and Christi Hoeksema (Brittyn, Kaia, Baylor, Kuiper), Kade and Regan Hoeksema (Henry), Lynden and Isaiah House, Jace DeMann and fiancée, Cierra Laska, Kate DeMann. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, July 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. Burial will be held at Blain Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Byron Center Christian School, or Christian Neighbors (Plainwell).
