Sarah Riddering

Sarah Jane Riddering, age 92, of Jenison, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, and is now with her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Barbara Davenport; sisters and brothers, Katherine Nydam, Jean Allen, Henry Klap, and Louis Klap. Sarah was born and raised in Denver and moved to Grand Rapids after marrying Kenneth. Denver had a special place in her heart as she would visit there often. Sarah was a member of Hope Christian Reformed Church in Grandville for 65 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be lovingly remembered by her children, Beverly and John Kuyers, Bonnie and Tom Bruins, Ken and Gail Riddering, Kirk and Joy Riddering; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Herman and Peggy Klap; sister, Marian Stover; sister-in-law, Betty Klap; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev Dale Fopma officiating. The burial will take place at River Bend Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 16, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
