Sandra Kay Benedict

Sandra Kay Benedict, age 74, of Wyoming, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed word searches and shopping. She retired after many years from the credit union. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of almost 55 years, Herb; children: Marie and Tom Groters, Lisa Martinez, Jennifer and Tracy Fields, Melissa and Jon McGinley, Joe Benedict, Emily (Ray) Benedict; grandchildren: Cassie, Zack (John), and Alex Groters, Erica Benedict (Brian Foote), Joshua (Mercedes) McBride, Isabel (Cisco) Cruz, Jalen Martinez, Junior Martinez-Abreu, Nathan (Ashleigh), Caitlin, and Riley Fields, Marcus (Tracey) Benedict, Alexis McGinley, Noah McGinley, Dylan McGinley, Miana (Rachel) Benedict, Skylar Benedict, Olivia Madura; 14 great grandchildren; siblings: Cathy (Max) Derks, Yvonne Arrigo, Andrea (Timothy) Kilmartin, Mary Ward, Frank J. Wolever; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Kathy Bleeker, Colleen Benedict, Jerry Nelson, Doug Nelson, Sarah Nelson; many nieces and nephews; special dog, Abby. She was preceded in death by parents: Tom and Irene Fliearman; brother, Tom Fliearman, brothers-in-law, Tim Benedict, Jerry Ward, John Arrigo. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
