Sandra Joy Ammerman

Sandra Joy Ammerman, age 82, of Byron Center, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren, watching them run track, race at the race track, and all the activities together. She was an independent woman who loved country music and Christmas. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Edwin Ammerman; children: Todd (Lisa) Bont, Troy (Deb) Bont, Tami VanArsdal; grandchildren: Lauren, Amelia, and Garrett Bont, Mallory (Alexander) Lake, Remington Bont, Shawn (Katie) Misak, Kaylee (Tyler) Hufford, Charlie VanArsdal; great-grandchildren: Barrett Lake, Tyler, Felix, Cole, and Gavin; brother, Martin (Denise) Buys; and nieces, Melissa and Janel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Jeanette Buys. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville. The burial will take place at Bliss Cemetery, Levering, Michigan. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
