Samuel Thomas King

Samuel King, 82, of Belmont passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Brian (Bobi) King and Brenda Jackson; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; step-daughters, Vicki and Eric Kuiper, Angie and Mark “Herbie” DeBoer; brothers, Richard King and Charlie King; numerous nieces, nephews, and his four legged companion, Roscoe. 

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jerry, Darrell, Phyllis, Sandy, Melba, and the love of his life Kay. 

Sam loved fishing, hunting, and weekly brunches with friends. He liked driving with no destination in mind, never taking the same route twice. Sam loved Nascar and auto racing of any kind. Most importantly to him, he loved socializing with friends and family. His friends meant the world to him. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, January 2, 2025, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont. Relatives and friends may greet the family one hour prior to the start of the service from 10-11am. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
