Samuel Joseph Bravata

Samuel Joseph Bravata age 77, of Wyoming, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 10, 2022. Sam proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He grew up on Gun Lake working at his father’s grocery store. He worked as a butcher, and retired from Troyer Foods after many years of being in sales. He enjoyed golfing and antiquing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn; children: Angela and Eric Kincaid, Sam Jr. and Jennifer Bravata, Ashley and Devon Burse; grandchildren: Zachary, Zoe, and McKinley Kincaid, Samantha and Eric Jensen, Jessica Bravata, Allysa Bravata, Jaida, Jordan, Devon Jr., Faith, Aron, and Elyssa Burse; 1 great grandchild on the way; siblings: Steff, Joe, Steve, Tina, John, and Joe; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Bravata and Helen VerKerke; sister, Bea. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022 at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier presiding. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with a rosary service held at 7:30 pm. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Wounded Warriors or GR Home for Veterans.
