Sally Ann Deweese

DEWEESE – Sally Ann Deweese (McCrary), aged 84 of Kentwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. David Deweese and brother, George McCrary. She is survived by her children, Mark Deweese and Dawn Minnesma, Sharon Settlemyre, Matthew and Tammy Deweese, Mari Norris and Todd Arbanas, Karen and Don Smith; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, William and Marilyn McCrary; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bernard and Carrol Deweese, Patricia Deweese; several nieces and nephews. Sally was especially loved and will be greatly missed by her grandchildren. After raising her children, she graduated from Grand Rapids Junior College in the LPN program. She was active in TOPS and also in her church especially serving the funeral lunches. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday at 11:00 am at St.. Mary Magdalen Church, 1213 – 52^nd St. SE with Fr. Godfrey Onyekwere celebrant. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo SE Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with a Rosary service at 7:30 pm. Visitation also on Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Resurrection Fund of St. Mary Magdalen Church or the American Cancer Society.
