Sadie “Sally” W. Kuiper, age 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Sally was born June 8, 1922 in Byron Center, Michigan, the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Wiersma. She married Sam Kuiper in 1946 and shortly after settled in Racine County, Wisconsin. During their time in Wisconsin, they operated a dairy farm for many years, before moving to the Franksville area. Sally worked at InSinkErator Manufacturing in Racine, beginning in 1956, retiring in 1985. After Sam passed away in 1986, Sally decided to move back to Michigan, where she was born and raised, to enjoy her retirement. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Kuiper of Willoughby, Ohio; her son, George and his wife Anita Falbo-Kuiper of The Villages Florida; three grandchildren, Lauren Kuiper-Rocha of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, Damian Kuiper of Davidson, North Carolina, Joseph Kuiper-White of Charlotte, North Carolina; and three great grandchildren, Samuel and Tessa Kuiper, and Reagan Kuiper-Rocha. She is also survived by her nieces, Marlene Wilterink, Carol Koetje and husband Russell, who provided friendship. The family wishes to express their gratitude to her grandniece, Ann Windemuller-Huizen and her niece, Mary (deceased) and Bob Windemuller for their support and companionship to Sally for many years. Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Kuiper; four brothers, Jacob Wiersma, Peter Wiersma, Owen Wiersma, Raymond Wiersma; one sister, Ann Wiersma; and her niece, Mary Windemuller. A private graveside service will be held on Friday, November 25, at West Lawn Memorial Park in Racine, Wisconsin.
