Ruth Werkema

Ruth Angelyn Werkema, age 89, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 17, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Werkema; and her infant son, Roger.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Carol and Warren Wilmoth, Mike and Joanne Werkema, Bev and Randy Schipper, Nancy and Terry Dick, Bob and Carol Werkema; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother-in-law, Jay Wolbert; sister-in-law, Faye Werkema; and several nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, August 19, from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Georgetown Township Cemetery with Chaplain Vern Bareman officiating. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Sunset Legacy Foundation.
