Ruth M. Robrahn-Card-Voss

Ruth M. (Patterson) Robrahn-Card-Voss, age 92, of Grand Rapids, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 15, 2018. She was preceded in death by her son, Ron Robrahn; her husbands, Gene Robrahn, George Card, and Gil Voss; her sisters, Eleanor and Marie; and her stepson, Mace Card. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother that treasured her family and lived life to the fullest. She was blessed with a great sense of humor and established many fun memories with her family and friends. Whenever there was an opportunity to play cards, Ruth would always be there. She loved to play Blackjack and would occasionally frequent the Casino. She also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Above all, she had a genuine care for other people and had the gift of serving others. She retired from GM Fisher Body after 30 years of faithful service. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Don and Pat Robrahn, Sandy Mockerman, Gene and Diane Robrahn, Rick and Cheryl Robrahn; daughter-in-law, Mary Robrahn; stepchildren, Joan and Charlie Enasko, JP Voss, Robin Voss, and Elizabeth Sherri Wideman; 24 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Hammernick, Margaret Blair; brother-in-law, Robert Robrahn; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Ralph Robrahn officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
