Ruth H. Newhouse

Ruth H. Newhouse, age 79, of Jenison, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016, surrounded by her family and is now at home with her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by husband, James; brothers-in-law, Hank Ensink, Herbert Newhouse, Robert Dutmer; sisters-in-law, Marguerite Newhouse-Bennet, Winnie Dutmer-Fry, Carol Fredericksen. She is survived by her children, Deb and Rick Haverhals, Scott and Toni Newhouse, Jim and Sharon Newhouse; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Ensink; brother, Edward Fredericksen; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ruth’s love of life and laughter touched all who knew her. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11 AM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Rev. Vern Van Der Werff officiating.  Entombment will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home and on Thursday from 10-11 AM at the funeral home prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Baruch Senior Ministries.
