
Ruby Myra VanderMolen, age 84, of Byron Center, our precious mother, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Ruby struggled courageously with heart disease for many years. She was a wise and giving mother who loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Alfred VanderMolen; brothers, Russell (Jeannette) Meekhof, Case (Frances) Meekhof, Frank (Gezina) Meekhof; sisters, Jeanette (Sven) Nelson, Anne (Gordon) Fuller, Josephine (Howard) Eling, Marie (Jim) Schaaf; brother-in-law, Sidney VanderMolen, Larry Scholten; sister-in-law, Ruth Droog. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Al VanderMolen and fiancée, Diana Voetberg, Wayne (Linda) VanderMolen, Paul (Sandy) VanderMolen, Lori (Tim) Vande Zande, Steve (Tammi) VanderMolen; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lillian (Robert) DeBoer, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, JoAnn (Ed) Brower, Tret (Roger) Hulst, Sylvia (Bern) Wiersma, John (Karen) VanderMolen, Mildred (Mick) Scholten, Lois VanderMolen, Pat (Herb) Wouthuis; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday 11 am at Kelloggsville Christian Reformed Church, 610 52nd St. SE, with Pastor Ron Fynewever and Pastor Martin Benckhuysen officiating. Interment in Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW., and on Monday from 10-10:45 am at the church, prior to the service. Those who wish, may make memorial contributions to the Benevolent Fund at Kelloggsville CRC or HUGS Ranch.
