
Roselyn May (Bolt) Scott, age 86, of Grand Rapids, MI, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on May 12, 2021. She was a sinner saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. “Precious in the eyes of the LORD is the death of His saints” Psalms 116:15. Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Gordon Scott; her daughter, Joan Groters; and son-in-law, Randy Groters. She is survived by her son, David (Kim) Scott; granddaughter, Heather (JD) VanderWal (great-grandchildren, Kiera and Braya VanderWal); granddaughter, Alisha (Chris) Slotman (great-grandchildren, Skyler and Sawyer Slotman); grandson, Adam (Rebecca) Scott (great-granddaughter, Sadie Scott); son, Gary (Nicole) Scott; grandchildren, Olivia (fiancé, Tim Rigotti), Isabella, Amelia (fiancé, Jake Meengs), and Garrison Scott; Randy and Joan’s children, Carmen Groters (great-granddaughter, Shelby Howland and great-great-granddaughter, Willow Lopez), Cory Groters, Casey (Jackie) Groters (great-grandchildren, Ryer and Vayda Groters); sister, Kathy (Jerry) Beute; and her nieces and nephews, as well as special friends, are too many to name. Rose’s family would like to especially thank Terrence Wright, M.D., the staff at Sunset Manor, and the staff at West Michigan Hospice for their exceptional care of her. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 18, at 11 a.m. at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center, Wyoming, with Rev. Hank Vlaardingerbroek officiating. The burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, May 17, from 4-8 p.m. at the church and on Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Community CRC Benevolent Fund.
