Rose Alice DeBri, age 91, of Wyoming, was called to her eternal heavenly home on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Gerald; sisters, Laura (Leon) Olson, Jean Doxtater and Betty (Henry) Pitz; brother-in-law, Jack Sloat; and many DeBri family members. She will be dearly missed by her daughter and husband, Ruth and John Featherstone; grandchildren, Vanessa Elisabeth Hughes, Virginia Rose Hughes, Vincent Caleb (Sarah) Hughes; great grandchildren, Lillian and Liam Hughes; sister, Ina Sloat; many nieces and nephews; beloved friend, Allen Morris; dear friends, Ron Hughes, Mary Capitano and family. Rose was a devoted Christian who carried out Christ’s command to love one another. She loved caring for people and animals, gardening and being outdoors. She was a prayer warrior and greeted her church family with a smile and warm heart. She had a steel trap memory and would ask how her friends and acquaintances were doing by name. Rose loved cooking for family and making her mother-in-law’s potato donuts for her family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Garry Cruce officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
