Ronald Velthouse

Ronald Jay Velthouse, age 71, of Grandville, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Ron was a kind and loving husband, dad, and grandpa who was blessed with a quiet faith and strong work ethic. Following retirement, he served his church as the facilities director at South Harbor Church. Ron enjoyed playing golf with his family and friends and was an avid Michigan Football fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Anne Velthouse; and his brother-in-law, Steve Biziorek. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Velthouse; children, Brandon Velthouse, Becky Velthouse, Nathan and Kathleen Velthouse; his grandson, George; siblings, Sheryl and Dan Flack, Barb and Mark Kadzban, Sandy Biziorek; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Ike Koetje, Judy and Raymond Rodenbaugh, Mike and Pam Pluger; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at South Harbor Church, 1907 64th St. SW, Byron Center. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 6, from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
