William “Bill” Van Zalen

William “Bill” Van Zalen, age 96, of Jenison, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 22, 2024. Bill was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marian; son, Randy Van Zalen; grandson, Ryan Van Zalen; and siblings. He will be deeply missed by his children, Tom and Maribeth Van Zalen, Renee and Ron Rodenhouse, Mary Kay and Randy VerStrat; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 26, at 11 a.m. at South Grandville Christian Reformed Church, 4130 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, with Rev. John Witvliet officiating. The burial will take place at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Emmanuel Hospice and South Grandville Christian Reformed Church.
