Ronald Pearce

Ronald Pearce, age 59, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017. He was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Beerens. Ron was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa who treasured his family. He was blessed with a great sense of humor and a big heart. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing, and valued carrying on the traditions of the passions that he so much enjoyed. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jan; his children, Jennifer and Mac Hernandez, Ron and Brianna Pearce, Julie and Elliott Richmond, Joanna and Chad Schlientz; cherished grandchildren, Ashley Cook, James Cook, Macario Hernandez, Audionna Hernandez, Kailey Schlientz, Carter Schlientz, Lucas Clark, Isaiah Clark, Ellie Pearce; his parents, Robert and Sharon Pearce; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Deb Pearce; sister and brother-in-law, Nickie and Tom Swanson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held Saturday 1 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 12-1 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or to Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center.
