Rev. Ronald Henry Finch went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 23rd, 2025 at the age of ninety-four. Ron is pre-deceased by his parents Mary and Richard; brothers, Richard Jr., Bill and Fred; sister Nora, and granddaughter, Alyssa.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years Elizabeth (Harrison); his children, Susan (Doug), Robert (Teena), Daryl (Michael), and Raymond (Janet); 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild (due June 2026).

Born August 13, 1931 in Queens, NY, Ronald grew up in Liverpool, UK. Ronald met his wife Elizabeth in May 1945, they were married April 18, 1953. Ronald served in the US Army Air Corps from 1949-1953. From 1953 to 1971, Ronald owned and operated a painting and paperhanging business until, at age 40, he felt God calling him to full-time ministry. Ronald graduated from Practical Bible Training School in 1974. Over the next 40 years, Ronald was a pastor/missionary in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Formby, UK. Ron officially retired from Ministry in 2017.

Ron will be fondly remembered for his zeal in preaching and teaching the Gospel, as well as his Western-style piano playing which frequently inspired sing-alongs. Ron loved to work with wood and his creations are proudly displayed in many of his friends and family’s homes. Ron will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, but as he taught and knew according to the scriptures, “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Ronald now resides with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, where there is no more pain, no more suffering.

Plans for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
