Ronald George Benton, Jr.

Ronald George Benton, Jr., age 86, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald George Benton Sr., Esther Alice Benton; sons, Tom Benton, and Terry Benton. He will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, Robert Racine; children, Tim and Cindy Benton, Cindi and Gary Papendick, Bob Benton and Christy Shellman, Jerry and Trisha Benton; sister, Esther Collard; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; extended family and friends. Ron was a long-time teacher and member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Funeral services will be held Friday, December 14 at 2 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville with Pastor Ron Mills officiating.  Interment North Ensley Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 1 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association or Spectrum Health Hospice.
