
Ronald Brinks, age 76, of Hudsonville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer and now is with Jesus. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He had a servant’s heart and loved serving his community through his church, work, and friends. Ron was part owner of Jamestown Garage and served as a firefighter in Jamestown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Anne Brinks; brothers-in-law, Ken TerHaar and Phil Masselink; and sister-in-law, Ruth TerHaar. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Janet; children, Joy and Randy Howard, Robyn and Mike Bredeweg, Lori and Duane Hinken, Tricia and Steve Bingham; 12 grandchildren; Jason and Megan Howard, Blake Howard, Zack and Allyse Bredeweg, Max Bredeweg, Amanda Hinken, Taryn Hinken, Kyler Hinken, Tres Bingham, and Truett Bingham; 4 great-grandchildren; Elli, Brynleigh, Everlee, and Deklan; sister, Mary Masselink; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ron and Linda TerHaar, Char TerHaar, Marcia and Bob Vermaire; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Messiah Christian Reformed Church, 2900 Springdale, Hudsonville with Pastor Nate Meldrim and Pastor Gale Tien officiating. Burial will take place at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, August 18 from 5-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Jamestown), 2371 Riley St., Hudsonville.
