Roger J. Mulder, age 84, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. A proud University of Michigan football fan, he brought the same passion and energy to life that he did to game day. He loved being out on the water, and few things made him happier than a sunny day spent boating. Known for his quick wit and classic "dad jokes" he never missed a chance to make someone smile. A kind and loving man, he could strike up a conversation with anyone and had the rare gift of making people feel like old friends. No matter where he traveled, he always seemed to run into someone he knew—a true testament to the many lives he touched. He was the former owner of Mulder Plumbing and J & R Plumbing, respected in the business and loved by customers and employees alike. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the joy of knowing him. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Myrna; his children, Michael Mulder, Jeff and Beth Mulder, Chris and Rosario Mulder; grandchildren, Dan and Becky Schell, Lindsey and Justin Starks, Bowie Mulder, Jason and Madeline Schell, Matthew Mulder (Nadia Peters), Dominic Mulder; 13 great-grandchildren; six siblings; and many loving nieces and nephews. At Roger’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no scheduled visitation or service. In Roger’s memory, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Faith Hospice
