Roger Lynema

Roger William Lynema, age 90, of Sparta, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, August 16, 2026. His only comfort in life and in death was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gertie Lynema; siblings, Jerry and Marilyn Lynema, Henry Lynema, Jean Lynema, and Jean Lynema; niece, Debra Lynema; and several cousins. He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Anna Lynema; good friends, Mark and Jennifer Anderle, Wilma Whitten. Roger’s family extends a special thank you to our Trinity CRC family and our dear pastors for their care and shepherding throughout Roger’s life. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, 660 S. State St., Sparta, 49345 with Pastor C.J. den Dulk and Pastor Shaun Furniss officiating. Burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10 am until the time of the service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sparta Trinity CRC.
