Roger Jay Mulder

Roger Mulder, age 83, of Wyoming, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 21, 2019.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a selfless servant of God. He was raised on a farm in Northern Michigan and became a Christian school teacher who was respected by generations of students.  He also served faithfully in church offices, as well as on local civic committees. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 61 years, Marian (Kuipers) Mulder; children and grandchildren: Randal Mulder, David and Jane Mulder (Kathleen and David Scrace, Jonathan Mulder, Andrew Mulder), Linda and Scott Jongsma (Rebecca and Bryan Hoekstra, Joshua and Lauren Jongsma, Samuel Jongsma), Sharon and Bruce Dykstra (Megan and Kyle VanDeWeert, Eric Dykstra, Ryan Dykstra); great-grandchildren, Elam Hoekstra, Walter Scrace; brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law: Lillian Westdorp, Kathleen and Bert Ponstine, Mae Mulder, Art and Gert Mulder, Lois Mulder, June Mulder, Agnes VanHouten, Cal Powers; many nieces and nephews; and several special and dear friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Heritage Christian Reformed Church, 3089 84th St. SW, Byron Center, with Rev. Robert Bolt officiating. Interment will be held at Winchester Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Calvin Christian High School, Unity Christian High School or South Christian High School.
