Roger Haverdink

Roger Haverdink, aged 75, of Allendale, went to be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven, on Thursday, November 13, 2025. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sheryl; stepchildren, Bruce Kamstra, and Mary Squires; step grandchildren, McKaylyn, and Tylee; siblings, Hazel (Rog) Hielkema, Gladys (Ken) Hielkema, Jarvis (Alyce) Haverdink, Joan (Bruce) Quist, Rose (Don) Poortvliet; mother-in-law, Mary Folkringa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carolyn Haverdink, Greg Folkringa, Peter (Kim) Folkringa, Judy (Jim) Shultz; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Reka Haverdink; siblings, Wilma (Arn) Hoezee, Jerry Haverdink, Harv (Lynn) Haverdink; and father-in-law, Peter Folkringa. Roger was a long-time employee of Carpet Bonanza. In his retirement he enjoyed his time in the Florida Keys and on Big Star Lake. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Remembrance Reformed Church, 4575 Remembrance Rd. NW, Grand Rapids, 49534 with Pastor Greg VanderMeer officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 9:30-11 am at the church prior to the service. The service will be available via livestream.
