Roger “Doc” Van Duinen, age 80, of Byron Center, a man of faith, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 19, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Connie; his children, Kathy and Bruce Ter Beek, Debbie and Doug Coke, Brenda and Tom Boersma, Mary and Chuck Anderson, Scott and Erin Van Duinen; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Marilyn Oosterbaan, Paul and Ursula Van Duinen, Linda and Marion DeJong, Nettie Van Duinen, Tom and Deb Van Duinen; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Anne Batts, Pete and Marlene Batts; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday 11 am at First Byron Center Christian Reformed Church, 2480 85th St., Byron Center, with Rev. Tom Groelsema and Rev. Ron Noorman officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-5 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
