Rodolfo Anzaldua

Rodolfo “Laredo” L. Anzaldua, age 93, of Jenison, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born in Refugio, Texas to Ramon and Loretta (Lopez) Anzaldua. Rodolfo retired after 30 years from General Motors in 1998. He enjoyed weightlifting, visiting the casino, and spending time outdoors. Most of all, he cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a wonderful storyteller who always knew how to make people laugh.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Julene; his six daughters, Christi (Lee Schaub) Anzaldua, Elizabeth (Mike) Anzaldua-Teunissen, Katie (Keith) Korhorn, Veronica (John Maccarone) Anzaldua, Lynn (Tim) Dawson, and Mary Elizabeth (Octavio T. Lopez) Valdez-Lopez; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his sisters, Margarite Jenkins and Rosa Moya; brother-in-law, Charlie Roark; sister-in-law, Judy Cooley; longtime best friend, Dominic Marsiglia; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Collin Schaub; and his brothers, Joe Anzaldua and Reynaldo Anzaldua.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to faithhospicecare.org. Rodolfo's love for family will remain his greatest legacy.
