Rodney Lee Thull, age 65, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 8, 2018, and went to be with his Lord. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gwen; children, Jeremy and Jill Thull, Kate Thull and fiancé, Corey Williams, Andrew and Brittney Thull, Adam and Lindsey Thull; grandchildren, Jimmy, Brooke, Bella, Charlie, Lucy and Hudsen; father, Nick Thull; sister, Lisa and Bryan DiGiovanna; brother, Kurt and Lynda Thull; sisters-in-law, Sara Thull, Susan and Alan Thull. Rodney was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Thull; brothers, Bryan Thull and Bruce Thull. Rodney loved his family and spending time spoiling his grandchildren. He had a love of camping with his family. He loved fishing and enjoyed many fishing trips to the U.P. He also loved hunting with his uncle and cousins and later with his sons. Rodney loved coaching his boys in basketball, baseball, and football. For over 30 years, a great family event was Saturday breakfasts at Mr. Burger. Rodney was a huge University of Michigan fan. He worked for over 40 years as a truck driver for Univar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with Fr. Steve Geerling presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. A vigil service will be held on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan and American Heart Association.
