Robert William Allan Jr.

Robert William Allan, age 92, of Grandville, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Son of the late Robert and Letha Allan, he was born October 31, 1930. He met his wife Shirley at college, they fell in love and were married on December 26, 1953. Bob owned and operated Lea Manufacturing where he worked as a chemist for 29 years. He was respected for his integrity and humble leadership in his business. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for many years. His passions included hunting and traveling across the world. Most of all, Bob’s family was important to him and he cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be especially missed for his gentle-spirit, friendship and love for his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Shirley Allan. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Douglas Allan, Scott Allan, Cheryl (Mark) Fredrickson; grandchildren, Kayle (Todd), Jenna (Pablo), Ben (Dana), Crystal (Brett), Robert III (Abby), Hunter; and seven great-grandchildren. Private services are being held for Bob’s family and burial will take place at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, MI.
