Robert “Rob” VanderPloeg

Robert “Rob” VanderPloeg, age 37, of Jenison, was unexpectedly called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 1, 2016.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy VanderPloeg. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Carrie and Cindy VanderPloeg; father, Robert VanderPloeg; brother, Ryan and Jolene VanderPloeg; nephew, Levi; niece, Annabelle.  Rob was a loving, caring man who made friends easily and was very expressive with his love for the people in his life.  He was a nature lover who preferred to spend time outdoors, fishing, golfing or camping.   Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 11:00 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Chapel, 4145 Chicago Dr., Grandville, MI  49418  with Rev. Scott Van Arendonk of  Fair Haven Church officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, April 4, 6:00 – 8:00 pm and one hour prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, please consider the needs of the family for funeral expenses.  Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com.
