Elena Chamberlain

Elena Chamberlain, aged 85, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. She was born on September 19, 1940, in Lithuania and later came to the United States, where she built a life centered on faith, family and love. Elena was a devoted church member whose strong faith guided her throughout her life. Elena found joy in simple, meaningful things. She loved scrapbooking,spending time with her cherished dog Abby, and being near the ocean. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her devotion to her faith, and the love she shared with those around her. Elena was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Chamberlain Sr., and their daughter, Carrie. She will be lovingly remembered by her surviving children: Harold Chamberlain (Kathern), Shelly Foguth (Bob) and Sandy Ratering: her eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren: her sister, Esther Irish (Kieth) and brother Joe Grybauskas (Vickie). She was loved deeply by her family and many whose lives she touched. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Rosedale Memorial Park, 0-50 Lake Michigan Dr., Grand Rapids, with a luncheon immediately following at MKD Funeral Home Reception and Event Center in Grandville.
