Robert John Schipper

Robert John Schipper, age 65, of Jenison (formerly of Grandville), passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 after many years of serious health challenges. He has put down a book for the last time and is now healed, whole, and at peace with his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Carol Schipper and sister, Debra Jurries. We are confident they all are now enjoying a good meal together as they spend countless hours sharing stories, laughing, and reminiscing about their many trips to Colorado and Northern Michigan. Bob leaves behind his brother-in-law, Thomas Jurries; his much-loved nephew, Steven (Amber Rookus) Jurries; grandnephews, Koda and Kai Jurries; as well as a few uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at American House Jenison for all the care, love, and support given to Bob over the last year as his health steadily declined. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 20, at 2 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Joe Gerkin officiating. Burial Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 1 to 2 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
