Robert Ilbrink

Robert (Bob) J. Ilbrink, age 91, of Grandville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Bob served in the United States Army during the Korean War conflict. He married Joanne (Jo) Dorothy Kortenhoven on June 17, 1955. Throughout his working years, Bob worked at Coles Laundry, Smith-Groen Hardware and Lumber, and Unist. He was also involved in various aspects at Ivanrest Church. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jo Ilbrink; and parents, John and Grace Ilbrink. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Faye and Richard Dykema of Palo, Iowa; Ronald and Jane Ilbrink of York, South Carolina; Richard and Kari Ilbrink of Grandville, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Dave, Dee, Matt, Chris, Jimmy, Aaron, Jordan, Cody, Sarah; six great-grandchildren, Micayla, Claire, Harper, Rivers, Grayson, Cameron; sister, Margaret Warners; brothers, Harold Ilbrink, Marv and Wilma Ilbrink; sisters-in-law, Elaine Bardolph, Evelyn Langereis, Mary Brummel, Lois and John Stob, Deb Kortenhoven; brother-in-law, Robert and Sandy Kortenhoven; several nieces and nephews. Bob was blessed in recent years with his dear friend, Betty Navis, and her family. Private family services will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 12, 2021 with burial at Grandville Cemetery. The service will be available via livestream at www.mkdfuneralhome.com. The family would like to thank the staff from Sunset, Brookcrest, Emmanuel Hospice, and Pastor Jay Pruim for the care and support given to dad, especially in his last week.
