Robert G. Gross, Jr.

Robert G. Gross, Jr., age 83, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2024. He was born September 8, 1941 to the late Robert and Arlene Gross. Robert served in the U.S. Navy for four years where he was stationed on the USS Kitty Hawk. Bob was a little league coach and also an umpire.  He also was a cubscout leader for many years. Bob enjoyed fishing, he received his pilot license and enjoyed races at Berlin Raceway.  Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Jan; four children, Robin Koronka, Ronda (Bryan) Swift, Wendy Richards, Corey Gross; grandchildren, Brienna Swift, Grace Koronka, Kaity Swift, Kendrick Gross, and Avalon Crosslan. Also surviving are his four brothers, Robert VanPortfleet, Douglas (Barbara) VanPortfleet, Greg (Sheryll) VanPortfleet, Mark (Jamie) VanPortfleet; and sister in-law, Eileen VandenBerg. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 5-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to the family.
