Robert Eugene DeJonge

Robert Eugene DeJonge, age 93, of Allendale went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 26, 2023. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace; son-in-law, Brian Seeley; siblings, Derwin and Marian DeJonge, Lester DeJonge; sisters-in-law, Elsie Lemmen, Millie DeJonge, and Edna DeJonge; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Van Laar, Berneth Lemmen. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Robert (Heather) DeJonge, Nancy Seeley, David DeJonge, Timothy (Karen) DeJonge; granddaughters, Hannah DeJonge, Lauren (Mitchell Knoor) DeJonge; siblings, Harold DeYoung, Helen Van Laar; brother-in-law, Raymond (Bev) Schat; sister-in-law, Linda Lemmen; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11 am at Grace Protestant Reformed Church, 11225 8th Ave. NW, Grand Rapids with Rev. Eric Guichelaar officiating. Interment Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Tuesday, January 2, from 6-8 pm at Grace Protestant Reformed Church and on Wednesday, one hour prior to service, from 10-11 am.
