Robert E. Borst

Robert (Bob) E.  Borst, age 81, of Grandville, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, January 24, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Richards.  Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Carol; children, Nancy Borst, Paul Borst; son-in-law, Dale Richards; grandchildren, Jason and Angie Machado, Lisa and David Behrenwald; great-grandchildren, Colin and Caleb Machado, Kalyn and Kyler Behrenwald; brothers, Jim Borst, Jack and Arlene Borst, Bill and Eleanor Borst; sister-in-law Jackie Albers;  and many nieces and nephews.  Bob proudly served his country in the US Army,  after which he owned and operated Grandville Towing for 39 years.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, 11:00 am at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 3110 Barrett SW, Grandville, with Rev. Dale Fopma officiating.  Interment Floral View Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW., and on Tuesday from 10 - 10:45 am prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
