Robert Bouwhuis

Robert Anthony Bouwhuis, age 87, of Muskegon, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Robert was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa who loved his family dearly. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, and most of all spending time with his family. Robert worked at Steelcase for 30 years and for the CSX Railroad for nine years. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dustin Seth Corey; great-grandson, baby Brown; his parents, Bernard and Elizabeth Bouwhuis; and brothers, Bernie Bouwhuis, Ken Bouwhuis, Jim Bouwhuis, Tom Bouwhuis. He will be sadly missed and loved forever by his wife of 53 years, Jackie Bouwhuis; children, Kelly and Brad Vernon, Kristy Weller-Bouwhuis; grandchildren, Kalie and Joe Williamson, Taylor and Randy Brown, Makenna Beatty, Joey Davis, Kendra Beatty, Anthony and Zemirah Piechocki; great-grandchildren, Violet, Atticus, Lilah, Lynleigh, Randy; brothers, Richard and Bonnie Bouwhuis, Gerald Bouwhuis; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack and Debbie Emelander, Bonnie Kloet; and many loving nieces and nephews. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Rest in peace my sweet husband, my heart is broken.
