Robert “Bob” E. Porter, Jr.

Robert “Bob” E. Porter Jr., age 72, of Jenison passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017, after a lengthy battle with Myasthenia Gravis. He was preceded in death by his parents. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Betti; children, Robert L. and Jennifer Porter, Christopher E. Porter; grandchildren, Stephanie, Ashley, Nathan and Jonathan; sister, Jo Anne Porter-Cole; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Barbara Carroll, James D. and Pat Walter, Susan and John Holmes, Margaret and Michael Pruitt, Jean Ann and Jack Duell; many nieces and nephews. Bob proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Steelcase after 31 years of faithful service. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017, 11 am at Holy Redeemer, 2700 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Fr. Roc Majalla celebrant. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
