He had a great sense of humor, an unmatched vocabulary and was never without a good book. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Alspaugh; son, Steve Alspaugh; and son-in-law, Dean Boeve. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Doug (Dianne) Alspaugh, Virginia Boeve, Tom (Marty) Alspaugh; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren all of whom he adored and swore were the best-looking, smartest people you’ll ever meet. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
