Riley Nichole Westerhuis

Westerhuis, Riley Nichole Riley Nichole Westerhuis, age 11, of Hudsonville, passed away early Christmas morning after a nine month battle with cancer.  She was born June 6, 2002 in Grand Rapids.  Riley was a sixth grader at Riley Middle School and a Hudsonville Rocket Cheerleader.  She was a beautiful girl inside and out who had a love for her family that exceeded all.  Riley loved listening to music especially the Beatles, working in her garden, and spending time with her family and friends.  Riley will be deeply missed by her father, Brian Westerhuis; step mother, Lindsay Olson; sisters, Kyla, Katelyn, Lilly and Kora all of Hudsonville; paternal grandparents, Bonnie and Bill Fleetham of Ada, Warren and Debbie Westerhuis of Grand Rapids; maternal grandparents, Gary and Anne Olson of Gaylord; great grandmothers, Lillian Bosscher of Lowell, Yvette Martin of Gaylord; aunts and uncles, Amy (Kade) Westerhuis, Molly Fleetham, Rachael Olson, Tyler Olson; cousins, Ana and Travis.  Funeral services will be held on Monday 1 pm at Fair Haven Church, 2900 Baldwin, Hudsonville with Rev. Bruce Huseby officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 4-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Monday from 12-12:45pm at the church prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Riley Westerhuis Fund through West Michigan Community Bank.
