Rick Elijah Griffee

Rick Griffee, age 67, of Wyoming passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026. Rick loved being in the great outdoors. He enjoyed  fishing, hunting, off roading in his jeep and riding his motorcycle. Rick was also a  fan of any music by Ted Nugent. More than anything though, Rick loved and cherished his family and they will miss his last minute adventures that he would take them on.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Marian Griffee; his dog, Peetle.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Katherine (Steven) DeBoer, Samantha Huston, MaryJo (Matthew) Hemmer; grandchildren, Colin Cronin, Ella Cronin, Barrett Huston, Eli Huston, Peanut Huston, Richell Hiar, Roger Hemmer; siblings, Amy Griffee, Rose Griffee, Robert Drzewiecki, Ron Griffee, Bill Griffee, Paul Griffee; and dog, Boo Boo.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, April 3 at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming.  Burial will be held at Rest Lawn Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 5-7 pm and one hour prior to the service at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming.. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Spina Bifida Association or The Autism Alliance of Michigan - Grand Rapids.
