Richard Allan Roskam, age 64, of Hudsonville, was unexpectedly called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Micah 6:8 says, “And what does the Lord require of you? To do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” Rich loved this verse and lived out these words every day of his life. He constantly put others before himself, and always worked hard to serve them, whether it was helping them with projects around their house, washing their car, or making them feel welcome at church. Rich's mission in life was to show them the love of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Janet Roskam; and father-in-law, Robert Swanson. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Carol Roskam; children, Allison (Phillip) Warner, Dirk Roskam; granddaughter, Ellie Warner; siblings Nancy (Mark) Hill, Ron Roskam, Kevin (Char) Roskam; mother-in-law, Dorothy Swanson; sisters-in-law, Robin Swanson, Nina (Matt) VanHeulen; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, in The ResCenter at ResLife Church, 5100 Ivanrest Ave. SW, Grandville. Please enter through doors E or H.
