Richard Ronan Swanson

Richard Ronan Swanson, age 58, of Wyoming, went to his Lord on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.  Born the 11th of 12 siblings, Richard was a loving man who was dedicated to the Lord.  He was generous and helpful, and had a great sense of humor with a happy demeanor which he held right up to the end.  He enjoyed computers and games and also made jewelry and rosaries as a hobby.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Bernice; brother, Tom Swanson; sisters-in-law, Sheila Swanson, Linda Swanson, brother-in-law, Zoltan Lorinczy.  He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings: Herb and Mary Swanson, Mike and Sandy Swanson, Don Swanson, Chris Swanson, Mary and Gary Karr, Bernice and Dan Roelofs, Lorna Lorinczy, John and Ann Swanson, Jim and Deb Swanson, and Sharon Swanson; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at  St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier presiding.  Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, with a rosary held at 7:30 p.m.  An hour of visitation will also be held at the church on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Right to Life Education Fund or St. John Vianney Church.
