Richard E. Kingma

Richard E. Kingma, age 74, of Grand Rapids, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 25, 2017. Rich was a devoted husband, dad, and grandpa who cherished his family.  He was a longtime member of Beverly Reformed Church serving his Lord with his time and talents in various ways. Rich was a partner at The Rehmann Group and was actively involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the YMCA. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 53 years, Joyce (Engelsman) Kingma; his children, Craig and Beth Kingma, David and Lisa Kingma, Lynn and Kevin Cole, Kristen and Kelly DeWitt, Susan and Keith Stoneman; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Jacinda, Ryan, Marissa, Josiah, Carston, Nathan, Brianna, Andrew, Eamon; his siblings, Jan Dykema, Lois and George Blanco, John and Denise Kingma; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Phil and Mary Engelsman, Cheryl and Cliff Slater; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dirk and Grada Kingma and his brother-in-law, Dr. Merle Dykema. Funeral services will be held Friday 11 am at Beverly Reformed Church, 2141 Porter SW, Wyoming. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Michigan Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Attn: Rock Campbell, PO Box 894, Jenison, MI 49428.
