Raymond Thomas Zuidema

Raymond T. Zuidema, 81, of Comstock Park, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 21, 2026. 

He was a kind and loving dad, grandpa, and great grandpa whose family meant everything to him. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Known for his strong work ethic, he retired after many years of dedicated service with the City of Grand Rapids. He enjoyed hunting and fishing over the years and generously gave his time volunteering at his church’s bingo nights and carnival events. Independent in spirit and a true jack-of-all-trades, he could fix just about anything. He had a huge heart and a deep care for others, leaving a legacy of service, generosity, and love. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Patricia: his brother, Mark Zuidema. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loving extended family and friends. At Ray’s request, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
