Raymond “Ray” W. Mulder, aged 95, of Jenison, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 14, 2017. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill; sister-in-law, Gertrude Mulder; and son-in-law, Robert Pater. Ray will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mildred “Millie” of 70 years; children, Mary Joy Pater, Ray J. (Dawn) Mulder, Melinda Tompkins, Lee (Heather) Mulder; grandchildren, Kelly (Rob) VanEyk, Christopher (Kristin) Pater, Chad (Gina) Pater, Jason (Holly) Mulder, Lindsay (Matt) Sicilia, Amy (Mike) Baker, Traviss Tompkins and Casey Tompkins, Nicole (Russell) Davis, Dylan (Lindsay) Mulder, Allie Mulder and Amber Mulder; 21 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ray proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII as a mechanic on P-38 aircraft that did photo recon missions. He worked for 37 years at General Motors as a tool and die maker. Ray loved to fish and play pool. He also enjoyed playing cards and games with friends. Ray and Millie were charter members of 12th Avenue Christian Reformed Church in Jenison, Michigan. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2017 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. James Evenhouse officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Holland.
