
Raymond Jay Peuler, age 83, of Caledonia, formerly of Wyoming, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 24, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Shirley; grandson, Travis James Peuler; great granddaughter, Bryanna Rose Stone. He was a lifelong member at Eighth Reformed Church, serving as deacon and elder for many years. Through his hard work and dedication Ray rose to vice president and general manager of Kelvinator. He was very committed to the City of Wyoming where he served on the City Council and for the Chamber of Commerce. He was also an announcer on WKTV for high school sports. Raymond will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sheryl and Glenn VerMurlen, Ray and Ruth Peuler, Ron and Kim Peuler; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Hilldore; brother-in-law, Jim Stehouwer; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Eighth Reformed Church, 841 Burton Street SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Harry Koops officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, February 26, from 4-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Avenue SE. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Eighth Reformed Church or Faith Hospice.
